They found a way...in spite of the lid on the hoop and a poorly called game that favored NW a bit. First a nod of the head to a game NW team who played their tales off. Secondly, a bow to the three Illiini frosh who deserve recognition for their outstanding contribution as a group to this win. Every team will suffer a game or two when the ball simply will not go in the basket. Winning two in a row like this is sooooooooooo good for so many reasons. Damonte and Trent should give those young'uns a big hug for stepping up and playing like veteran B1G warriors. Enough said, back to business with the toughest part of the schedule in the next three games. I would put them all in hypnosis and have them watch films of shot after shot going in while the narrative feeds them tales of how they play the game perfectly. Gotta change narrative on offense. Would BU consider starting RJ in place of Grandy. JG is in a funk and RJ brings aggressive speed to the offense which is much needed at the moment. Might even give JG a much needed visual of what he needs to do...but we will see. Regardless, winning close, ugly games helps build confidence and unity. Not that this team lacks either but those two brothers are currently on a short vacation....I hope!
