Yea they are way too loose with the ball. I think Brad assessed it right in that the pace and defensive pressure is making them rush when it isn't there. I do worry about this team in the slog of the conference season when everyone seems to try to slow down. Not sure what this team has in a traditional half court game. If Hawkins can hit threes even close to what he did last night it will help immensely. Edey struggles a lot to come out to guard. Dickenson made him look bad last year doing that. Moderate levels of concern with RJ, Mayer, and Skky from last night. None looked particularly good. Pleasantly surprised by Harris. He looks like he is going to play more than projected if for no other reason than I don't know who else will keep a defense honest to the 3pt line. 3pt shooting is going to dictate the ceiling for this team. Dain had a very quiet strong game. Before looking at the box score I would have said he did ok but the line was great imo. And I am starting to think Underwood is not stressing the importance of FT shooting, which would be a mistake with a team that should get to the line a ton. Maybe the perception is skewed because of Kofi but I don't think they have been very good at the line during Underwood's tenure. You cannot miss as many FTs as this team did last night. They will lose a game because of it.
