One more thing this game makes me feel better about is the depth of this team. And I don't mean "they go 10 deep every game" depth, I mean "There is always a 5 man lineup that this team can put out that is better than their opponent". Today it was Shannon, Domask, Goode, Rodgers and Guerrier. Yesterday, it was Shannon, Rodgers, Dainja, Hawkins and Goode (pick your 5th I guess, Goode was the best of the bunch). Typically, it's Shannon, Domask, Hawkins, and 2 others. But they've got 8 regular players they can mix and match until they find a set that works, with occasional boosts from DGL, Amani and Moretti (though I think Moretti has only really been a positive in one game, and is living off that for far too long at this point). It's allowed the Illini to have a chance to win every game, and never really feel like they had no business being in a game (though the game at Purdue felt like it until the Hawkins-Guerrier-Domask-Harmon-Goode line up started torching them the last 10 minutes). Even with 4 games against top 2 seeds, they've been right in every game.
