Ayo versus Dee is intriguing. Both had/have an uncanny ability to turn open court (not necessarily free-path or 2-on-1, just any situation with the D scrambling back) pushes into points. What are seeing now is incredible; when Ayo is pushing the ball and any number of defenders are backpedaling, you almost expect a layup. Very few players have that ability at this level. Dee gave you the same feeling. Ayo edges Dee in the area of finishing at the rim in the half-court (though props to Dee for all those back-cut inside hand finishes). Dee also had a very nice pull-up if he saw the help was in time.
Ayo is a more talented player and probably more valuable. The one area where I give the nod to Dee is defensive intensity. There have been a few instances where it feels like Ayo is just chilling for stretches. I think he's said as much - and that's fine on the offensive end as he's trying to get his teammates going. But he's looked a little disinterested at times. That said, I believe he'll be very locked in for this final stretch of college ball and I'm so, so pumped for it.

Some people just need to complain. lmao @ criticizing an All-American from your couch as someone who has never played basketball and is only 5'2".
Hey now, I am down to 5'7". Yep, getting old.

That is a great photo. Good to see that BU has big plans for it.

Plus, the video of Belo jumping into BU's arms actually brought a tear to my eye. You could see the love and respect on both directions. I will never forget that moment.

View attachment 7762 The human mind is a vast complex of electrical charges covering pertinent and abstract thoughts...what those thoughts cover is entirely up to the mind thinking them....
The question should be why a mind thinks such random thoughts when the above thoughts really do cover the question.....

View attachment 7763 the stairway to greatness is froth with perils seen and unseen...we have seen the peril of playing without Ayo and the Illini have risen to the task with 3 straight wins....

View attachment 7767

View attachment 7768 Isn't the more relevant question, since Ayo has missed 3 games, HOW great are we with or without Ayo.....

View attachment 7769 Isn't that the most logical presumption before us now ?

What has any Ohio State player done the that have to be insulted with name calling.? It isn't that hard to show a little class in this forum. Rizzo deserves it, Ohio State doesn't.
I must've missed specific name calling. But as far as substituting out the definite article "the" with an indefinite article "an," as in an Ohio State University, man that's just fun with grammar. And it gets the goat of most anOSU fans.

Holtmann is a solid dude. When asked if he had any comment about being named a finalist for National Coach of the Year, he had this to say after a long pause and shaking his head: "it looks like they did their voting before last week."

Yeah, Holtmann is a good one. I think it’s fair to say they have been better each year than expected since he started. Ohio State is in good hands.

Also, other than the fact he’s not an Illini, hard not to like Liddell. I respect this Ohio State team.

With that being said, can’t wait til tomorrow.

Go Illini

A poster called them the Suckeyes, I don't believe any of there players deserve the disrespect.

It seems to me that the last time the Illini hoopsters left Columbus with a win was before Lincoln was president. Time to start a new tradition/streak.
We did it Ayo's freshman year, right? I could be mistaken, but I remember him hitting a big three late.
