Yeah Mt. Carmel the town is nearer to Evansville, IN bordering the Ohio River than anyplace else of note.I was thinking more like Mt Carmel, southern IL.I grew up in Mt Vernon and I was today's day old the first time I've ever heard of a city that far south be referred to as 'central Illinois'.
im happy for this kid, Central HS and Peoria. the district and student population has had some tough times.
Sean Lewis connection, no doubt?Lunney QB target from IN, Danny O' Neill, commits to Deion/Colorado. Not sure we're in on many other top targets at this point, at least per public info

Has an offer from nebraska and ole miss and a top 1000 recruit so not a terrible backup plan after missing on o’neil. It's pretty clear that this kid is a top QB target now that O'Neil is off the board. Pretty good size and has a good track record: https://twitter.com/alessiomilivoj1
I suspect we'll get him if we put our foot on the gas.
yea, while it may not be an ideal way for building a roster , you can pretty much count on just about every SEC school having a decent qb transfer out every year .There was an article in The Athletic last month which researched and reported that over 70% of Top 50 quarterbacks now transfer from their original school. Here’s the summary: “Based on these recent classes, if a top-50 QB signee doesn’t start one game in his first two years on campus, there’s an 87 percent chance he’ll end up leaving the program. But among the quarterbacks who did earn a start in their first two years, more than 60 percent still ended up transferring during their careers.”
So, I don’t really worry anymore if we miss on a top HS QB target; it’s more likely than not that he, or others who are better and more mature, will be available through the portal.
if his parents split up we would've had a better shot.
love Cherry's size: 6' 5" 210. compiled VG stats his junior year. worth checking out, for sure.
According to this article, he's the #2 QB in Indiana: https://inpreps.com/2023/01/27/rankings-class-of-2024-quarterbacks/
Also, his HS is 3 time defending state champs (not sure about class). Boatload of MAC-type offers, some P5.
ugh, he's an IU legacy...maybe that will help us, lol.
Mt. Carmel on the other hand borders the Big Wabash and is close to Princeton, Indiana. Mt Carmel was a member of the NEC which was a very good Class A conference in the Illinois 2 class system conference before it disbanded.Yeah Mt. Carmel the town is nearer to Evansville, IN bordering the Ohio River than anyplace else of note.
The absolute furthest possible southern border of "Central Illinois" would be I-70 IMO.
are you saying I should sleep with his mom?if his parents split up we would've had a better shot.
