Just been announced that UNC coach Roy Williams is retiring...wonder if that will open up some new prospect options
Wow, didn't see that one coming. He has a really good class coming in doesn't he. Maybe Mike will get into coaching and lead his alma mater....

Let's hope they're interested in Holtmann. Maybe it could push EJ Liddell our way if he doesn't get the requisite feedback from the NBA?

Hopefully someone who knows some people who knows some other people is touching base with Terrance Shannon to see how much he likes Lubbock
I am a co-signer of another poster's thoughts. He could be a high-end glue guy on this team, meaning he could play the 3 or the 4, depending on matchups (or even foul trouble).

He could. Thing is, that type of role is probably not very appealing to a kid with his eyes firmly set on the league. He's already declared and Vecenie has him at #44 in his latest mock. Although he's a plus wing, his height (6' 5") isn't ideal for defending taller forwards.

It appears I jumped the gun on him declaring. I expect it though.

I would love Franklin. Dude is a perfect fit and a baller, good kid too. I'm still always surprised when players are willing to transfer to their nearby rival school though. Having to go play against the guys you had just been going to battle with has to be a little weird, particularly when you add a rivalry layer to it, though he's from the midwest so I get wanting to stay close to home.

Well for one he’s a projected 1st round pick so as much as I’d like it, it’s doubtful. Also, this obtuse. He is waaaaay more than a glue guy. Kid’s a star.

I'd say we could use a commit, but knowing this board, that would just lead to arguments of if said new commit is a more athletic Larry Bird or a worse version of DJ Richardson. The only hope is we all agree that his growth plates are still open.
And he must fit our system even if his mom doesn’t like us.
