Wait, so we're filling our '22 class with 2 3 star SGs? That's an interesting strategy. Not saying it's wrong. Just maybe a little bit weird, looking at it from the outside, with so much still to figure out for the '21 class/season.

I wouldn't be overly worried about 22 rankings right now a lot of these guys simply haven't been seen enough by the right people.

I understand. It wasn't meant to be a dig at their rankings, more so the strategy of locking up '22 kids before '21 kids. And is somewhat reminiscent of the old Weber strategy of getting guys super early, in this case before they blow up with offers and get fully evaluated.

This and I’ll add: even if those rankings stick, this staff has shown a high acumen for scouting good to excellent college talent, and developing it, irrespective of rankings. Griffin, Giorgi, Kofi (was ranked in the 40’s and below Liddell) have all outperformed their rankings, as have guys that have gone elsewhere and been real good (e.g, Shannon at TTU).

Ah I gotcha. It'll be interesting to watch how things play out but I do enjoy getting ahead on a class finally with the 2022 one instead of playing catch up quite so much.

Baylor might have one 4 star kid on their whole roster. I understand your point, but fit is a huge factor.

This. Look at TyTy's rating when we first offered and where he sits now. Our talent ID is first rate.

If this forum doesn't have a current scholarship grid, how will Underwood and staff know when to stop adding players to the roster??
Actually I hope someone is up to the task, but I know it's a lot of work you would need to know a lot of stuff to do it, which leaves me out on both counts.
Even if we don't have a full scholarship grid, it was my go to place to confirm current roster and future roster openings. It'd be great to get something that just shows the current roster construction and remaining eligibility of each player.

Unfortunately for us, even if side B isn't being pushed by fans or the media, it seems like it's being actively pushed by some potentially influential voices (which could be even worse for us in the short-term). Maybe the only course of action is to simply ignore it, since we're probably limited in what we can do to directly address it, but negativity coming out of Simeon, MIF, AM's camp, and the families of multiple Mizzou players won't help us moving forward. I think we can overcome these types of challenges, but they remain challenges nonetheless.

Is Simeon mad about THT or is there something else? Sure seems like Chicago is a tough place to maintain good relationships though.

The mizzou noise seem pretty irrelevant to me but what do I know.

Really don’t understand the angst with Illinois kids. 4/13 on this years roster but recruits from around the world. Need to get the players that fit regardless of geography. If family important they will want to play locally so they are close but not like the days when they were only on local TV. Really don’t care where they come. Trent, Kofi, Giorgi, Belo great contributors.
