If I had to guess where we go from here...
From now to signing day, the staff is looking to see who they convert from our high school targets. After that, I expect roster spots to fill up with transfers pretty quickly.

If we don't land Tyty, which i don't think we will, who is going to play guard next year? Curbelo and Hutcherson (if healthy) are really our only two guards. The two freshman I suppose, but they seem more like wings.
Everyone, don’t worry about the stench of our recruiting Tide, Podz will help to freshen things up😁

Disclaimer: I’m no insider, just slow to the pun game

I know we don't know what BBV can offer, but he's already stated he's coming back. He's a big dude that can shoot. Have high hopes for him if he can stay healthy.
I don't think we yet know that BBV can shoot. Perhaps there was one game his FR season against a weak non-conference opponent --- but that means nothing. Just a sample of n=1.

BBV had a big game on the Italy tour and hit like 3-4 3pters, IIRC.....showed promise ,then came the injuries.......

Still think the most important recruit Illinois is after is Adam Miller. I have no inside info so idk if the relationship is just broken--but assuming it's not I don't see who can offer him more opportunity and exposure as a featured player than Illinois. Nor do I see who we can land that can have the immediate impact he can, given his knowledge of the system, on court chemistry, etc. Would love Franklin or TyTy but if we can get a recommitment from him I'll still feel good regardless of what happens with them. Ditto with Kofi and other frontcourt options, but that goes without saying.

This is an honest question, because I don't read other teams' message boards...

Do other fan bases of programs in the same tier as ours have such optimism and see as much potential in their last 3 or 4 scholarship guys on the bench as ours?

Of course.

No, they post 10 - 20 a week. Some schools in same tier will get a commitment from a 4☆ and maybe 5 or 6 posts about him and then crickets. By far one of the most "out there" boards.

I wonder what it is about Virginia’s offense that makes Franklin say, “yeah. I want to play there.” That is just a head-scratcher to me.
Interesting choice for sure if he wants to be seen as a scorer and the way the don't score. Not sure what his ultimate goal is. Perhaps he wants to play a slow offense, defense, and score in the 50s each game. If so, he found it.

NEXT!
