Gotta be. Just like Kofi and Antigua, his lead recruiter is now at TTU. I still think that from a basketball standpoint, Illinois is the best option. However, I'm biased.
Also, FWIW, he is from Houston.

yeah 2023 is loaded with local talent. Kylan Boswell is another originally from Champaign that ESPN has in the top 25. Doubt he's connected to TA tho but could be
Again. If you have a name of another Chicago 2023 recruit that sturdy might have been alluding to without naming I’m all ears

The real 4D chess of this is that obanor is better than Garcia, but no blue bloods competing with us this time around 🤔
Obanor may be better now, but Garcia will be a sophomore while Obanor will be a RS Senior (with 2 years of eligibility I believe due to this past season not counting).

I was hearing garcia was hoping to go pro after one year anyway, but obviously that could always fall through.
I think every college player hopes for that, most of the time it's wishful thinking. If his game fits the current NBA style and he develops at UNC, you never know.

Maybe the recruiter means something, but a quick google search says Houston is 580 miles and a 7.5 hour drive to Lubbock. Chicago to Cairo, il. is 375 miles and a 5 hour drive, per google. Houston is light years away from Lubbock in numerous ways. I live in Texas, it is big.
