our staff (particularly BU) seem to be establishing themselves as ace evaluators. an article from Eric Bossi mentioned that both Whitmore and Cohren looked better than he’d ever seen and implied that both will be moving up in rankings while mentioning that we were in on both

Nothing we didn't know, but it's nice to have another affirmation, and from a top dog, no less.

Drink those milkshakes, Chester!

Bossi literally just said last week Kansas was leading for Epps when everyone around knew it was in fact Illinois leading. He didn’t have a clue how close Epps and Chester were. I spoke to several NC State and providence people and they knew Illinois was the team to beat last month or so. With that said, I genuinely expect one of Corhen or Whitmore to commit to Illinois before the end of August. And while Reggie Bass is still committed, Illinois hasn’t been impressed with his play regardless of his 30 point outburst yesterday. He has a bad attitude and was yelling at teammates all last weekend in front of Illinois coaches

Speaking of refreshing, how cool is it that most of the kids we're after are rising in the rankings? I can't recollect a time when we've had an en masse wave like this.

Feeling great about our staff's recruiting ability (and I think there's a lot more to come with Alexander and Anderson). To infinity and beyond!

Curious as to the specifics of this. I’m taking it that he wasn’t yelling from a motivational stand point or a passionate stand point? Was he yelling to pass him the ball? Talking down to his team mates?

Not all good players have to warm and welcoming…but if he just has a bad attitude then that’s something we don’t want.

I know we’ve somewhat “recruited over him” …not exactly, but you know what I mean. But does AJ see the momentum we have as a program now? Hard to say we aren’t “attractive” again to AJ even with OA and Chin leaving. Is Chester the lead on AJ now?
I don’t know. I just took the post as “Another offer for AJ.” Maybe Nutt misread it as “he committed”? Otherwise, his comment doesn’t make any sense.

Great point....yelling in a huddle can be very good.

Passion yelling is what Jimmy Butler does...and Giorgi did...and it can be positive
