I like Obanor a lot.
Rebounding machine. He would be great, but I don’t feel like we have a very strong chance. I’m willing to be wrong.I like Obanor a lot.
The man shot 46% from 3 on over 4 attempts per game. He would be an incredible addition. Very unlikely tho maybe one will finally fall our wayI like Obanor a lot.

Did you watch March madness?Until a minute ago I never heard of him!?
I get it, if that is the reason, to some extent. However, it could also be said that a new perspective, from a guy who has developed multiple players into the NBA is needed. Maybe OA has taken Kofi as far as he can and Anderson could use his experience to complete his development.I understand the NIL and OA argument, but am I the only one who isn’t seeing a clear path to improvement for Kofi at Kentucky? Kofi averaged 17.7 PPG and 9.5 RPG last season, and going to UK means sharing minutes at the 5 with Tshiebwe. Is he putting that up again at UK? I get the “go somewhere where you can showcase more range and a broader set of NBA skills” argument, but is that really Kentucky? It seems like if Kofi was really thinking about maximizing long term value and his goal of ultimately making it to the league, he goes somewhere where he can truly become a better player than last year and also has a chance to prove he’s NBA ready (whether that be passing out of the post, having a mid-range game, etc.). If the only factor in Kofi’s decision was NIL, he would have already been in the NBA. He needs to use the season to improve, just like Ayo did. I’m curious how this all plays out.

Only if people haven't been paying attention. I would love to be completely wrong, but the timing of entering the portal and dropping out of the draft just seems to point toward him going to Kentucky. I think he's waiting to make it appear that he hadn't already narrowed it to NBA or follow OA. Hope I'm wrong.Actually, DEFCON 1 is the worst. Yesterday was more like a 2. You’ll see DEFCON 1 when Tipton posts the Kofi to UK edit. If that comes to pass it will be worse than Cliffmas and IDKWTI to IU. Combined.
I’m going to blissfully hope he’s building up PR for an “I’m back” PR blitzOnly if people haven't been paying attention. I'm seeing that Jayden Epps took official visits to Kansas, UConn and NC St. Has he taken one to U of I? Is he going to commit to us without visiting? Would feel good to be on the right side of one of those for once.

Probably more like "when"....If he can hit an outside shot, I think his NBA comp is Steve Nash.
This as well for me. I have faith Kofi is a smart and honorable young man and will weigh his decision carefully. Is OA and KY lure too great for him to pass up. Is his work at U of I and our new additions along with strength coach and BU a strong enough pull? As I have stated I feel 25% return, 24% OA and Ky, 23% Gonzaga, 28% field....in other words no clue lol.I’m going to blissfully hope he’s building up PR for an “I’m back” PR blitz

I’m assuming this is likely a joke but in reality I’d go 60% UK 35% IL 5% fieldThis as well for me. I have faith Kofi is a smart and honorable young man and will weigh his decision carefully. Oban-or it could happen.Obanor would be a bigger get for this season than Garcia.
Ain't happening.
Saw some sites that had Illinois as the favorite - so I wouldn’t count us outDon't get too excited about Obanor. I just don't see any way he comes here. TTU should probably be the leader.
