If we get the guy from Butler our staff will be set. With the offers and visits our staff has hit the road running! Not the football forum but I LOVE our head coach and his staff! Need to give him 2-3-4 years to turn the program around! We are getting BIG TIME RECRUITS no doubt!

Let's be honest....It will be Kentucky that may beat us out for Taylor. Chin is along for the easy ride. He has to make a layup....we have to hit a contested NBA three pointer.
The "secret" is starting to get out that Chin habitually overpromises and underdelivers. Recruiting for Kentucky will help, but not everyone (especially in Chicago) wants to buy what he's selling. Pressure's on when recruiting 5-star players from Chicago.

DePaul just offered! What are we waiting for? 6-9 and goes between the legs/behind the back!? Glenbard West Take a look at the film...do you see superstar? 2022 (film is from 2020)

Hopefully wrong but just watching that clip I see Michael Finke. Doesn't look very athletic or fluid. That dribbling won't work in HM college ball either. Granted he is pretty young so plenty of time to develop.

We're not going to be able to gauge a young prospect with a 1 minute highlight clip, but I had a similar impression --lots of skill, but didn't see explosiveness or high level athleticism. Be curious to hear a staff evaluation of him. It seems to me that the staff puts a higher premium on defense than most, so you have to have better athletes. FWLIW he has a decent offer sheet (Wiscy, VT, NW, Creighton), but no Illinois offer. Unranked on 247 composite

Incoming roster at Kentucky has 4 transfers, 2 redshirts and 1 5 star. Not exactly a successful recruiting stat imo. On the other side they had 17 players go pro in the last 4 years. Being more careful on the recruiting trail? May explain some staff turnover.

I love how the board has gone from these coaches leaving is a disaster to Chin sucks anyway.
Having all three ACs leave in one off-season (when the head coach is staying put) is almost always going to be a disaster. The continuity and stability of a program has real value. But now that it's happened and there's no going back, there's nothing irrational about evaluating each AC individually and assessing whether they are replaceable moving forward. OA's recruiting and knack for developing big men is hard to replace. Gentry's analytics and close relationship with BU is also hard to replace. Chin doesn't suck but, compared to the other two, I think he is easier to replace.

Reminds me of a more left-handed Larry Bird with a little more lift, brown hair and no mustache. Growth plates look open too. I question the level of competition in that video clip though. I’d like to see some backyard or playground action. Preferably against a family member.

For real, he has a nice stroke and looks skilled.

Think Braden Huff ends up at Wisconsin . . . think they are recruiting him hard and believe Kaminsky's dad is assistant coach for the Glenbard West girls team.
