I’d love to have him back. However, for his own self interest I would think he would want to go somewhere and be the featured guard if he decides to play another year of CBB. Hoping for him that he gets offered a nice pro contract somewhere.
If Trent DID by some miracle come back, and Kofi and Miller stayed, suddenly we look like a probable Top 10 team again.

BOOM! Feed my ego.
If Underwood can secure Podziemski it's going to be so fun to see the roster mature into a team full of big guards/wings who can all shoot and drive. I keep thinking about it and I can't wait to see it unfold.

Goode 6'7"
Melendez 6'7"
Bass 6'5"
Storr 6'5"
Podziemski 6'5"

Get Podz, find a way to keep them together, and you have something.

I know he’s a big time scorer, but anyone know if he can defend? (Podz)

well was Miller known as a defender in high school? It seems like both Miller and podz are mainly known as shooters coming out of hs, and if the Illini staff could turn Miller into a strong defender this past season, I’m confident that podz could too.

Anyone know how seriously we are pursuing the Brewer kid for ETS? We look like his best offer so far and sure passes the eye test. Great length and athleticism, solid handle, and a really good 3 pt stroke. Seems to be able to get his shot off quickly and catch and shoot on the run, which is something we lack. And shot 38% at volume. Wouldn’t upset me at all if we wound up with him.

Yeah there certainly seems to be a lot of chatter on Twitter about Adam being open to coming back

Color me skeptical. If he wasn't happy at Illinois and has people in his ear, it stands to reason that he thinks he wasn't utilized properly, or the staff didn't give him the opportunities he deserved, rather than looking inward on his need to improve. There will be a ton of teams telling him what he wants to hear, reinforcing his views.

He had a solid freshman year, but expectations were sky high. Statistically, his A/T was poor for a SG, and 34% is nothing special from the arc in college. He wasn't beating defenders off the dribble. We know he's explosive and athletic enough to be more effective going to the rack, but the game hasn't slowed down enough for him. All that would be fine for any other freshman, but if your aspiration is 1-n-done, maybe you feel the pressure and start blaming those around you. It's tough to look in the mirror and push yourself to get better. And who knows, maybe it was the situation here. No matter what he decides, he was a contributor here, and his commitment was great for the program. I wish him well wherever he lands.

Just guessing but maybe waiting to see what Adam Miller decides.

It’s still too early to tell, but a possible down side to the Transfer Portal is that this may permanently jam up the decision-making process for the new recruiting classes coming in. If the new guys are going to be waiting to see what the Portal-ees decide to do, this will delay their decisions and add another layer of a recruiting-full-court-press time period to the Recruiters and Coaches.

Ultimately, we’ll all get used to the new recruiting rhythms and dramas as in the end this should work out better for all the players concerned, the vets and the new guys. And potentially, the on-court product could be better. As fans, we’ll just have to get used to being more patient and living with more uncertainly and drama. Of course, living in these times today, we should all be pretty used to that by now.

So you think that Austin hutcherson will never reach full health? In the few clips he’s put out on Instagram, he looks pretty good to go

I certainly wouldn’t count on him beings major contributor. Our coaches should be recruiting under the assumption that Kofi and Miller are gone and BBV and Hutch won’t be healthy.
