He brings up MSU as well unsolicited. Hope we can snag him. Love his talent
He was talking about where he visited family when they were in college. Sounded like Toledo and Mich St. is where he went to visit family.

After reading the rules, once a player tells the school he wants to be put in the transfer portal, which in Adam's case, was Thursday around 10A, the school has 2 business days to inform the national transfer portal group. Something must have changed as it is Tuesday and his name is not listed. Maybe rumor of Adam changing his mind has some truth to it. My point here is that it could cause some recruits from declaring to us if Adam is coming back. The TP updates every couple of hours as more players from Tech jump onto the list after Beard left. Just a thought
If he was out of town like people were speculating, I'd guess he has to sign something in person at the DIA office. It may be a while. I have seen him on the verbal commits transfer page, but not 247. It would be nice if the NCAA had a page we could get official info from.

There’s a difference between threatening to transfer, and putting your name in the transfer portal. There’s a difference between a guy wanting to leave after a coaching change, and a guy who started every game on a top 5 team as a freshman with NO coaching change. I don’t know how you embrace a guy that has shown multiple times he doesn’t really want to play for you.
IMO threatening to transfer is significantly worse than putting your name in the transfer portal. The first is a threat with no purpose other than to try to manipulate someone into doing what you want. Putting your name in the transfer portal allows other programs to contact you and actually opens up your options to really advocate for what's in your best interest.

If we're so insecure with what Illinois has to offer that we think that if our players were to hear what else is out there that they would leave, then that's something we all need to reflect on internally. This is the same mentality that hostile relationships have when you're told you're not allowed to have friends of the opposite gender anymore. It's toxic and stupid.

It’s for sure odd that he hasn’t shown up in the actual portal yet.

Gut is telling me Adam returns. He will have to explain it to his teammates first and foremost and regain their trust but I think it’s doable

is there a link to the actual portal? I am behind on this but is it really the recruiting sites?
Stuggling with this as well. NCAA's own website references the VerbalCommits website when discussing data, like academic progress after a transfer from a 4 year school to 4 year school. Here's VerbalCommits list, which Adam Miller is listed on:

AAU and CPL ball are cess pools. To much drama and chicanery on an annual basis. Yes there are great players in both but not always worth the headache.

If you can't stand the heat...

Seriously, competing for talent has been brutal now for decades, and the countless scandals show how that market works, and who holds the power. What little policing there is, seems to be for show or merely to protect the business side of the college's interests.

Top programs have to navigate the drama and figure out how to assemble a great roster despite the headaches.

I know this is a joke but it’s remarkable how athletic Vital is for his size. He either has like a 35+ vertical, is one of the quickest people off the ground in the NCAA, or both.
A poor man's round mound of rebound.

What multiple times do you keep referring to?

Robbins and Iowa seems too clear-cut in my eyes. 2 hours from his hometown, and Iowa has a glaring need in the middle. His uncle (assistant coach at Minnesota) didn't get that Utah State job, yet he still goes into the portal.

I thought I read somewhere that Christian Bishop, from Creighton, had entered the transfer portal and that Illinois had reached out to him. If that is true is there any interest in him or would he be a good fit for the program?
