Aren’t guts literally insiders?

I’m going with this from now on. “An inside source is telling me...” Translated: “My gut is telling me...”

Before the transfer portal there was my bags are packed and I'm gone. There are 3 Illini legends from the past 3 great teams who had to be talked to coming back. Some were due to coaching changes and some to a slow start to their careers.

If AM wants to return you take him. AC is the PG but AM can develop his overall skills. Baylor had 3-4 guys who took Gonzaga players off the dribble. Plenty of oppurtunity for multiple players.

Common sense guesses:
1. Kofi going Pro.
2. Miller leaving
3. BBV and Hutch unlikely to ever contribute significantly because of health.
4. Underwood, Antigua, et al will pick up a couple more quality recruits/transfers (highly recruited or not). They are really good at identifying talent.

I have no inside knowledge. The above are just my thoughts based on following college ball for 40 years.

Almost inevitable we take a big step back next year, but I think we’ll still have a strong team.

So you think that Austin hutcherson will never reach full health? In the few clips he’s put out on Instagram, he looks pretty good to go

Pretty sure the guy isn't claiming to guarantee that AH won't be healthy. AH was a d3 guy because of his back injury history. He had a full year of practice with us dealing with the back problem and then had to sit this past year. I don't think it is exactly a hot take to assume he won't ever full be a fully healthy contributor.

The videos he has posted looked great. Obviously, he played his freshman and sophomore year of college and did pretty well. Seems to me like him being healthy is no sure bet.

No. You will be hearing soon. 😜
I’m sure you have more information than I do, but what I had heard was he is waiting to see who we take in the portal. Underwood mentioned this morning he like the idea of transfers who are going to be more committed to staying than freshman who can easily move on. That is not a comment on Podz at all. Just passing it on.
