ILLINI IN NE

Omaha,Ne.
He went to Nebraska for chiropractic school, so it seems that he has allegiances all over the big ten.
Also fun fact - he trains his sons and other local athletes out of a local judo gym. Very knowledgeable strength and conditioning programmer
There are no Chiropractic schools in Nebraska, there is one in Iowa. His wife is from Nebraska but did not attend UNL.

Whitmore and Corhen VERY likely

Oh Yeah Yes GIF by Arby's

Is Corhen supremely underrated? Whitmore would likely be the Ayo, Kofi Curbelo of this class. That is to say the All American

Bass, Harris, Schutt seems a bit redundant especially with Podz on roster, but I’m not complaining…
I more so meant Whitmore (athletic wing) Corhen (post) and Schutt (shooter) filling different roles. 3 shooters per class seems like a smart call with transfer portal attrition having Bass, Harris (etc.).

Well I would think the love for Iowa and Fran will fade....just don't see what they would have to offer that would top Illinois
We'll see what his loyalty is to the state, but I can see why he is in with Iowa because of Iowa's tendency to have a plethora of shooting wings

I think state loyalty is an afterthought, at most. Fans love to bring it up, but recruits aren't thinking about it. They're picking the program that they feel is best for them. And the criteria for making selections is hardly uniform.

WRT to Iowa, it's pretty easy to see why Schutt is considering them.

Seems like Iowa may have hit its ceiling last year under Fran. Had an NBA wing and lucked into a NPOY. Seems like with Fran they can get 80+ pretty easily but any decent team will hang 95 on them.

And maybe it’s not as bad as Wisconsin, but feels like some bad mojo around the Iowa program right now. Nunge and Frederick transferred. There were always rumors Weiskamp couldn’t stand Fran. Murray looks to have promise but otherwise the cupboard seems rather bare.

All of which is to say, seems like we are about the same distance to Yorkville and are having a heck of a lot more fun! I think if he takes an official to both places the difference in culture/energy will be very noticeable.

Agreed. I'll be very surprised if Iowa is the choice.

I dislike Fran as much as anyone, but this is the same shpeal other fanbases had about us last year. "Underwood lucked out with 2 All Americans blah blah". Neither Weiskamp nor Garza were surefire NBA/NPOY types a few years ago. They recruited and developed those guys. Fran (begrudgingly) gets credit where it's due.
