Didn’t see freeman fitting our system anyways he’s the type of player that thrives at schools like Iowa or Wisconsin

I've been impressed with Coach Frazier's recruiting so far and am glad he's on our coaching staff. Also, Its so cool to call Chester Frazier "Coach Frazier" too haha.

I think from the beginning we were going after other big men. Even though he lives close he seemed to be an after-thought!? Over the past few months his name was seldom mentioned. He didn't see the love and moved on. Think we will regret it!?
Guessing not?

Won’t lose an ounce of sleep over this one
Yeah the lack of athleticism would scare me as a coach. He’s less of an athlete than Garza and has a playing style similar to Timme. I’m just not convinced that will work in college. He’s definitely a project in my opinion.

Both Marcus Liberty and Lowell Hamilton were ranked number one in the country while Illinois was recruiting them.
Misleading statement on Hamilton. Yes, he was ranked #1 by one publication (I believe Street & Smith's) after his JR year of H.S. But after his Senior year of H.S. he had faded back to around #20 in the country. In fact, many "experts" didn't even have him as the top player in IL -- they had Ed Horton ahead of him. Of course around #20 is still very highly ranked.

Not sure what is "misleading" about that statement. As Combes simply stated. Hamilton was, in fact, rated #1 in the country while we recruited him.

respect my decision™
Dai Dai Ames ('23) looks like a helluva player (lefty too, lol). If Fears commits (to us), would we still want Ames? I think Ames is a point, but he has combo skills too and could thrive there.
