Johnnell Davis has good size as a combo guard and stat line better than Storr. FAU struggled later 1/3 season but were known to be an unselfish group. Transfer portal guys need to have a level of unselfish and remember they are part of a team. That is why I would like this addition, I'm not sure he is better than others like David Jones but I do like the unselfish style he came from. He reminds me a little of Derek Harper, 1983 PG from Illinois.

Why not both Jones and Davis? Play them at the 2 and 3.

I mean, we were just in the elite 8; and we were, imo, the team with the 3rd best chance to win it all out of those 8. His limitations matter, but not as much as many make it out to be.

UConn in the Elite 8, 4 min to start each half,, Ty was not guarded at all and we got destroyed primarily to start both halves and that was a major cause. Ty should not have played after the first 2 minutes with how Hurley decided to play vs Ty. Clingan much like Eddy did standing under the hoop causing us to go 0 of 19 at the rim vs him. If you don't see that fact your chugging orange kool aid because you love Ty. If teams do this with largecrim.protecting bigs we must sit him and replace him with guys like Booth, Goode or other shooters we are trying to add.

He also happens to be the hardest board crashing player on the team, but he’s a complete team liability on offense like you say. It’s effectively 4v5 on offense. That said, it’s really hard to not want to play him purely because of his level of effort. If I’m coach, all I’m having Ty focus on is his jumper and increase his confidence there.

We are so screwed, it's like having a team of six rotation players and no go-to players. I'm seeing a 10-seed ceiling and that is only if everything goes right.

If we get another impact wing (which I hope we do) like White, Ty should come off the bench as a 6th or 7th man. While there's so much to love about him, he's simply not an offensive weapong. He can't shoot at all at any level, so you don't have to guard him.

Attributing the slow starts to each half to Ty is misleading. Clingan protecting the rim was the difference. If you watched any other UCONN game , you saw the same thing. No one scored at the rim (including TSJ) and nothing else was falling.
