What is this nonsense? We have more than 3 starter level players, White and Booth started on P5 conference teams, Davis started the majority of his games and there are still multiple days left in the portal and multiple spots that will be filled. This doesn't even take into account the growth and coaching that players like Morez and DGL and the other players that are projected starters will be getting this offseason.

I don't like to call people out but this is about as silly of a post as I've seen in a while and there are been some bad ones lately but this one is horrible. Be thankful we aren't in the shape some of the other teams in this conference are like Wisconsin, Minnesota, Penn St, Iowa, Nebraska who are really struggling to field a half way decent roster.

You also have to remember that we just got official eligibility statuses on Coleman and Marcus this week. I'm sure the staff didn't want to jump the gun on a player or two before knowing that those two were officially not coming back.

Do you really think Brad is going to leave the team like it is now? There's no way he is with spots left to be filled. Brad deserves more credit and respect than your panic and suspicious of what he is 'supposedly cooking'.

It is April 27th, not even a month into the offseason and people already complaining and whining without really thinking about what they post.

There are a ton more of players who are going to be hitting the portal before the deadline. And yes I expect our wing to be one of those
Patience is a virtue. We are playing a poker game... When you push your chips in can be more important then what you have depending on the situation. I think Illinois is situated to both push heavy and capitalize on the timing of NCAA timelines. There are big fish just buying in. I'm not considering me assessment until July in reality

You mean David Jones? Kadary popped up on this chat yesterday. Really haven't heard any other "wings" we're going after. But getting Jones would be huge imo (even though Bardo despises him; donno why). Def. got AA potential. Hope some bigs are sprinkled in there as well (Holmes).

3 more spots to fill! Really hopeful for Onyenso - fills a big inside defensive presence need.
Onyenso and Holmes (donno if we got the bags to get both but...) would be dream scenario in terms of the frontcourt. Throw in a star wing and we're most def. one of the best teams in the country again!

How? Every player graduate or not has to enter the portal within the next 4 days and we have no "in" on any current players of significance. In previous years graduate players could enter later. For example last year by this point:

1. Domask had already committed over 2 weeks ago (April 10th)
2. Guerrier had already committed 2 days ago (April 24th)
3. Harmon had already committed over 2 weeks ago (April 10th)
This is the worst sky is falling post I’ve ever seen.

Have a beverage of your choosing and lay down for a bit.

The question isn't whether a wing will be committing and it's not whether he's going to be a good player. We know both of those answers will be yes. The question is will this be a big impact, All Conference caliber guy? We were spoiled with TJ. He can't be replaced, but that said....we do need a star level player. Are you seeing that?

Do we have a wing left? Two points guards and...Ty? Not Ty. Shouldn't you have an outside jump shot to be considered a wing? Seriously, is it Ty?

Actually more of an outcast, because I was up front with my colleagues that I could never be a fan of IU BB, esp. with Robert Knight as head coach. I was just pointing out that, like Goode, I could get a great education at UI and go to Indiana without losing my love for the institution that nurtured me. It's just a matter of where life takes you as opportunities arise. BTW, I'm an Alumni Assoc. Life Member.

I sure hope not. I've said it before, Ty should come off the bench as 6th or 7th man. We do need to find another quality wing from the portal.

Names keep quality wings coming in our crystal ball. I hope we land one of them. In the meantime, how about Davis and White. Maybe those are the two wings we need. Davis is only (currently) a freshman, but Tre is a little older and very explosive in the film I've seen of him. He could be a major presence. Davis looks pretty good too. I just watched Davis' films again. I don't see why he couldn't be our other wing. Deadly 3 pt. shooter with a quick release and he takes it strong to the rim when the opportunity is there.
