Not really NIL related. More along the lines of releasing information shared on the downlow that they didn't want out there.

Not a blue chip player that's going to carry a team but a good player and if it brings DaRon Holmes then sign me up.

Would still want to add an alpha type scorer at combo guard/wing(like David Jones) with that pair but I would be very excited with that team.

Would have two all American type players in Jones and Holmes a bunch of proven role players:

Boswell, DGL, Nico(?)
David Jones, Jake Davis
Ty, Santos, White
Humrichous, Booth
Holmes, Morez, Jaksty(RS)

Maybe that's too many forwards and not enough guards but that size would cause some serious matchup problems and have a bunch of shooters and guys that can get their shot.

Not tryina hate...but is Jones truly an AA? I think he's got AA potential but not sure if I'd put him up there yet. I'm not even sure if he was MEM's best player this year. To me it looked like Quinerly for a lot of the season if not most of it. Holmes for sure; I think he might be up for NPOY but Jones...I gotta see a little bit more from him to put him up there. Still Think he'd be a great add tho - Jones

I see you have near 700 posts on here, and probably 95% of your posts (I scrolled back 4 pages into your posts) are in the Recruiting thread with the rest in Coaching Carousel.... Seems your entire Illinois Loyalty life is spent responding to 'unfounded' rumors. I just find it funny, lol. Cuz you know, SOMEBODY has to do it!!! Peace out!

Addendum: Not harping on you at all!! I just enjoy many of the 'posting trends' I see on here from many of the different regulars. That's EXACTLY what makes this board great!

So perhaps this is why recruiting info of late has been seriously curtailed?!?!?! I totally get it though. While I certainly enjoy every single tidbit of info provided on here, I've also at times been really surprised at how much info is proffered.... Perhaps there's some gamesmanship to it, misdirection, outright lies, allowed to be disseminated by the staff to certain people knowing full well where that info surfaces and whom digests it.... Anyone who thinks the only eyeballs on this site are die-hard Illini fans, are not realizing the scope/reach of this board.

Below I present some evidence to support my post. I just pulled this off the Forums page seconds ago, check out the 'guests' currently on here at this very moment compared to members.

Total: 588 (members: 22, guests: 566)

Subtractions and additions! Did the Illini lose more talent than what is coming in? Is Brad done? Will he get one BIG catch before the deadline? Who is left from last years Elite 8 team?

I too am very impressed with Tre. It's going to be very hard to keep him out of the starting lineup. I anticipate a productive guy.
