Kasparas and, if true, Riley, aren't and won't be coming here to come off the bench. IMO
I tend to agree with this. I think if Riley commits, we're almost certainly going with a starting lineup of

Boswell
Jakucionis
Riley
Humrichous
Ivisic

I'd still expect Morez, Ty, and Tre to get at least 15 a game, but I'd be surprised if that wasn't the starting 5.

With regards to defensive worries though, yeah, that starting 5 concerns me. Humrichous, Jakucionis, and Riley would all project to be minus defenders to start the season. Only Ivisic projects as a plus right now. So in my opinion we'd probably need to score in the high 80s to win games this year. I do think we have that ability, but I do agree with people saying there are concerns there

My guess is it won’t be a very efficient defense but good luck keeping up. NBA like, with one or two guys on the court that can really defend.
If this is the case then I will be very disappointed

It was fun watching last season but yes, depending on how many layups we give. Nothing more frustrating than layups and fast breaks

Oh, and team defense is key but I haven’t seen us doing it consistently

this might be a little late in the thread but: Like an old girlfriend, Coleman is gone. a few fond memories,
but there's a bit of resentment that we couldn't work it out. Can't see her in the new boy friends favorite
outfit.

Boswell, Booth, Kasparas, Isvisic, Riley, Morez… all will get a cup of coffee in the NBA imo. Add Fears with whoever we can hold onto in 25-26..
I gotta say I really don’t see it with Booth. I feel like Tre White has a better shot if anything. Really excited ab all the other additions and sure Booth is talented and a good athlete, but his shot selection is really poor (way too many 3s for a guy with his athleticism and size) and while he does have a jumper, the form looks really rough imo, and the percentages reflect that. I’m probably just being too harsh on a freshman, and I’m sure he’ll get better with time, but I think the NBA is a long way away for him based on what I’ve seen. Would be happy to be proven wrong

Last year's squad had experienced leadership. This coming year we'll be relying on young players one way or the other. That's always difficult, even if the young players are talented.
It’s really only different in style, less so in substance. Going into last season, our leadership was expected to come from a player who typically deferred that mantle to others (TSJ) and another who had shown bouts of leadership overshadowed my fits of emotional immaturity (CoHawk). Those two blossomed under last year’s challenge, while a newcomer (Domask) supplemented the team with his own brand of leadership.

This year, Ty and DGL are being asked, by default, to be the leaders, escorting a swath of newcomers into Underwood’s system. It’s too early to know if they’ll be capable of that responsibility, but it’s no less certain than what was asked of TSJ and CoHawk heading off to Spain.

I don't think you can keep Ty Rodgers out of the starting lineup. I think Kasparas comes off the bench and Ty starts. At least at the beginning of the year. KJ will be a freshman. We already have two kids starting (Isvisic, Riley) that have never played college basketball.
I saw that lineup posted & I didn't think those were the starters. I agree that Ty will start & I'd be surprised if Morez doesn't start. With this depth I have to accept that Morez might not start.

🤷🏻‍♂️ I hear ya… but the guys who do this for a living collectively see him as a legit NBA prospect… think he will surprise us.
