he was on a very picky upward trajectory NBA HC twice, Nevada NCAA 3 out 4 seasons 1 sweet 16 , Arkansas . NCAA 4 out of 5 seasons two elite 8s, only missed NCAA once...
USC seemed like lateral move unless he just wanted to get back to west coast. I think he could have gotten Louisville, Michigan or Ohio State. Not KY because he started that domino by leaving AR. However if KY job had come open via other means he would have been a stronger hire than Pope.
Another strong coach in the B10. The 4 Pac12 adds may affect basketball just as much as football.
Which would seem likely to be when he decommits and demands more, no?

Lol not disagreeing but I was referring to Joey and Sam(Marquette then MSU/Virginia). Though Ahrens is listed as being bigger than both.
Basically just the playstyle though, not phenomenally athletic but skilled and the jumpshot looks good. Well suited for a stretch 4 type role at the college level.
He's a good player and he'd really serve us well in a supporting role. Not trying to throw shade at your comment. This is more an issue with the Tweet from Foran. Why ruin the Tweet by saying he's an ”NBA prospect?” He's the 126t-130th ranked prospect in his class. He isn't being recruited by many tier 1 programs other than us. That doesn't mean we don't need good, hard working, dedicated players like Ahrens on our team.

This may be the slowest recruiting thread I have ever seen. I guess actually getting high profile recruits does calm everyone down. I am sure that I will be proved wrong soon enough. But until then, I guess sit back and enjoy success and wait for season to start. Maybe predictions for all-conference players would be something to talk about. I will say that Riley and KJ will easily be all-conference and likely Boswell. I think Ty has a good shot too if he proves that he can shoot at all. His motor will get him recognition and the stats will pile up if he can shoot at a decent clip. Ivisic is a dark horse.
