There are 15 scholarship spots now. Why would you not want a top 150 recruit.
I think if a hard cap stays in place essentially (at least a limit in funds available), you’ll see the top 8-9 guys being paid big money, and the bottom 6-7 not making anything. You need a full roster to at least practice effectively, and so guys like Ethan Brown are what you are left with to fill out the roster. It’s be a mismanagement of resources if say the 10-11-12 guys are making 100,000 K when they’ll never play anyway. Better use of those funds is to use 300,000 on one guy that will be in the rotation than spreading it around to guys they won’t play
