"Illinois has signed a 2-year contract with Tennessee for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 men's basketball seasons. The Illini will travel to Knoxville next season, playing at Tennessee on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023. The Volunteers will return to Champaign the following year for a Saturday showdown at State Farm Center on Dec. 14, 2024."

We had the COVID Missouri game and Bama in the NIT, but I think this'll be the first scheduled game in an SEC arena since Vanderbilt in the late 00's.

I remember we played Georgia one year. Once at United Center and maybe in Atlanta?

Looks like it was Duluth at Gas South Arena

Yep, didn't we like totally blow a game in Duluth to a bad UGA team in front of 50%+ Illini fans? Lol.

Yep, I was there, and also vs Auburn in ATL at Philips Arena (which is now State Farm Arena)

I’ve noted several times here that I did my undergrad at Tennessee. I’ll be at both games. Absolutely pumped! We better come ready to play in Thompson-Boling. The atmosphere is ridiculous.
