DIA has to do something with ticket prices to get butts in seats. Just looked at KU’s ticket prices for their next game. Plenty of sections to get tickets between $40-50. Our cheapest ticket for Iowa is $75. No reason for that price any season until we are consistently good, let alone to be set before this season.

I think and know we can win this game. This is a good to great and maybe an all time type Iowa defense. They are really good on that side of the ball. I’m going 13-10 for the beloved. I’ll be there and I can’t wait.
They did give up 172 yards rushing and 27 points at there place today. Their defense is solid but their offense is awful. I like our chances and I hate the hawkeyes!

75$ a ticket is ridiculous when your trying to get people to attend. I want to take my family it’s $300 bucks plus parking for End zone seating. Needless to say the wife said no. (She’s an Iowa fan)

It‘s totally absurd. The pricing is so out of touch with reality that it’s borderline offensive for BB or anyone representing the athletics department to act like the team has earned better fan support. $75 is fine for the best seats, but at least 1/3 of the seats should be $25 or less.

Turnovers gonna be the key here. (Fun(?) fact: they have two DBs who are tied for no. 3 on the team in touchdowns scored.)

Iowa game 1: Iowa D gets two safeties
Iowa game 2: Iowa forces 3 turnovers and blocks two punts
Iowa game 4: Iowa forces again forces 3 turnovers, returning two for TDs

Sorry but I have to laugh/scoff at this.

$1500 - two last minute round trip plane tickets from Charlotte
$ 160 - parking at Charlotte airport
$ 150 - two tickets to the game
$ 230 - 3-day car rental from O'Hare
$ 110 - gasoline
$ 500 - two nights at local C-U hotel
$ 200 - Illini gear
$ 450 - meals (for two) on Friday-Saturday-Sunday
-------
$3300 Cost for attending 1 game with spouse or child. One might think that the 800,000 living alumni are fighting to get the 30,000 remaining tickets.

Oh - and $3300 is totally worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
* The Illini play just 7 home football games per year.
* Partying and reminiscing with friends, relatives and fellow fans.
* The smell and feel of crisp, cool October air.
* The "campus buzz" of a once great football team being revived by an outstanding new coach and staff.
* The faith and hope that we may once again be playing on New Year's Day.

And if you're fortunate enough to live and work locally, just substitute $200 for the $3300, above...........

Kudos to you if you got it like that and can drop $3300 on a single game. Some people can't, plain and simple. And for some folks that $200 needs to go elsewhere, like housing, food, or transportation for the month
