1. Indiana covered the spread. 2. Other than a brief surge in the first half to close the gap to one point, this was a pretty sad effort by the Illini. IU is a pretty good team, but we made them look like world beaters. Oh well. 3. Malcolm Hill had a decent stat line, but it was pretty much spitting into a hurricane. 4. Kendrick Nunn did not have a stellar performance. Fouling out was an appropriate way for hm to exit this game. 5. Mike Thorne played pretty well everything considered, not that it made much difference. The part where Max B. just blew by him for an easy basket makes me wonder how much he will help. I guess I am disappointed that we won't have him next year, but presumably this is what he wanted. 6. Indiana is a good team, and a great offensive team, but our defense just isn't much good at all. 7. Either our players are not listening to the coaches on defense (probably this) or we have a grim lack of talent on defense. This is the most disappointing part for me. 8. Since it is now official that Thorne will not be back next season, who the heck is going to play center for us? I guess we need to find another transfer. 9. On to Minny! Maybe they are a B1G team we can compete with. It sure isn't Indiana.
