Thought I'd post this for a fellow Illini from my time on campus. Former Illinois and MLB pitcher Jeff Innis passed away after a 4+ year battle with cancer. Never a star, always a contributor with a career MLB ERA of 3.05.
I read where his family had to set up a GoFundMe to get him home for hospice. Sounds like a really sad story. RIP.
