I’ll give my take on tonight game (for what it’s worth). I’m no coach, played ball 1 year in high school, but I have basketball intuition (so I believe). First, great comeback, I appreciate the heart. I truly believe that no one here is as disappointed as the team and Underwood right now. We got blitzed the first half and it looks as if Miami did an incredible job scouting us. I’ll tell it how it is... 1. Ayo isn’t as aggressive as he should be, and should get to the line a lot more than he has. He had the athletic ability to do so and needs to become the CONSISTENT leader of this team, regardless of Kofis emergence and attention, Ayo is the leader and needs to assert himself. 2.Giorgi, I love Giorgi last year, this year, he’s out of place, playingon the perimeter too often leading to fouls and worse, blow by’s by guards. He was miraculous as our 5 last year and I think Kofi and him should be a 1-2 punch instead of playing together. 3. Felix was non-existent tonight, but that won’t last. 4. Trent Frazier needs to drive more, draw fouls. Defense wasn’t as stellar as the previous games. 5. Damonte, we expect what we expect. Good defense, IQ and a few hard nose plays. This game wasn’t lost by him, Ayo and Giorgi need to understand they are the leaders. 6. Alan griffin, against quality opponents, not so many offensive rebounds huh? Shoot well and probably had more looks that he had a chance to take. Overall: Year after year... after year, my expectations arise and fall sooner than I have a chance to enjoy them. This loss is B1G and has a much bigger impact than I think most realize. At home, down 20 at half, come back only to lose by 2? At that point it looks like Miami let uo and if they would’ve kept their foot on the gas it could’ve been worse. Miami shot very well, Ayo will be here next year, anticipate a possible decommit from Adam and next year (as we all say EVERY YEAR for the past 5+ years, should be better). Brought to you by Stella Artois.
