I need to address this

Brad Underwood has only suffered one upset in March Madness.

Granted, it was The Big One. But it only happened once.

He's also only had one upset win by seed (over Iowa State a couple years ago)

As the sample size increases, the data tell us a more accurate story, and right now that story says the Underwood Illini will more or less do chalk.

That makes the 2/3 seed distinction important because that dictates whether we'll lose in the Sweet 16 or Elite 8
If your coach is only as good as their seed… what does that say about their coaching abilities

Why?

Tre White clearly plays for the most money each year as evidence by his use of free agency.

Illinois certainly had a choice to pay him to come back, or use those funds for other players. They chose the latter. It was clearly a poor decision in hindsight.
Brad made the right decision at the time with already having to give him more money twice before Morez and his dad backed out again asking for more. If Morez really wanted to stay here he would be here. Does it suck how it turned out, yes but that was his choice. Stop trying to hang that one on Brad already. Give it a rest.

As Kylan is coming off of a broken hand I think it is important for him to get shots up to get it dialed in so he can do like he did at the end of last year and become a force during tourney time.
Only problem is he hasn't been dialed in all year from three. He's got to quit launching so many for this team to make a deep run.

There's a huge difference here. Are you going to sit here and tell me, Underwood honestly believed that the Fr. ranked 150 was going to be the teams star in his first season? Do you think when Underwood was planning out the roster he said, well obviously Wagler will lead us in points, assists and steals and be 3rd in rebounds, so let's bring in this guy to compliment him? Come on.

Now if you actually followed what I said and didn't go wild on one sentence it makes perfect sense. Stojakovic has been a disappointment because he was the guy Underwood expected to be the lead scorer. He was the guy they were building the team around, and if the expectation had played out, we would not be a top 10 team.
Even Brad has said they didn't expect Wagler to be this good.

I can just simplify things …

This team has the resources that every year we should be competing for Big Ten titles and in the 2nd weekend …

Every year …
When you say this team, you mean this staff.

Stop with the Loyola hype. What did they do in the follow up game? Lost to #12 Oregon st.

agreed. he had a stellar run to end last year when he just stopped shooting from 3 and drove the ball to the hoop or passed it. let's hope he figures that out again because he can be an all time Illini with a great tourney run!
