New Eating Establishments Opening in Your Area?

Just want to start a thread about new eating establishments that may be opening in your area. Thought I'd do it as a way of helping spread the word. I know a couple:

Pop's BBQ just recently opened in Charleston under new management after being closed for two years. I'll have to make a trip up there. Used to go there when I went to EIU. Some of the best BBQ in my life I ate there.

I found out from the Jimmy John's in Mt. Vernon that a new Jimmy John's is coming to Marion. I also heard Carbondale just had one built recently.

So, any eating establishments going to be open in your area?

Gino's East just announced they are opening a Phoenix location. This follows up Lou Malnati's which just opened a location here in May. Portillo's opened up a couple restaurants here about 2 1/2 years ago. There is not a shortage of options these days of good old Chicago food staples here in the desert which is not surprising considering the number of transplants out here (including myself!).

XFM in Effingham reported earlier today that Ruby Tuesday's has closed in Effingham, Champaign, and Danville.

I've only ate at a Ruby Tuesday once. I liked their salad bar, but everything else I didn't care much for.

Can confirm the Ruby Tuesday in Champaign closing. As for other things opening up here at the Alma:
Baxters American Grill, Red Robin, Slim Chickens, a micro brew sports bar, and
a new upscale steak house named Hamilton Walkers are all under construction, and there are rumors of Portillos coming to town next year.

Good luck on the Gino's. They opened one in Austin and it is not the same. They even did the thing where they sent all the employees to Chicago for real training. Have heard it's gonna close.

Yeah, we'll see how they do. Lou Malanti's has been very successful, however. Jam packed since they opened and the quality from what I hear is just as good. Same with Portillo's, and I can vouch for that as I eat there probably once a week!

Man if there was a portillos in austin I'd be broke and weigh 500lbs.

A new Mexican joint just opened up inside a pub. Tried them at a beer fest a few months ago and it was outstanding. Mexican food is horrible here in Aberdeen.

Pizza isn't too good here, either, and a new pizza joint is opening up soon. Will have to check them out.
