Things I liked. 1. Coleman doing some good things offensively at the rim. Gaining confidence with the ball in the lane is a good thing for him. 2. Q continues to impress with his game at both ends. Just a smart player who knows what to do. Becoming quite close to a dependable shooter from the arc...maybe is? Still the FT line is his achilles where he still has too much wasted motion and needs to be quieter and move efficiently with his lift. 3. MD plays another good offensive game, 4. Team hit them back in the mouth at every exchange. That leads to a treat for fans who observed a very high quality game with high quality play 5. 10 Turnovers, a good thing overall. Things I did not like: 1. Losing a hard fought game. 2. Not having an answer to stop BB on the high p and r. Overall, this game was again won and lost as determined by the B1G gnome. He decided before the game who would win, but unlike most games in which he is involved, he did not swat away 70+% of the shots of the Illini. Instead, he let the ones going through to do just that. But tonight, the few times the Illini had the ball rolling around the edge of the rim, he just tipped it out with his toe. You could see it happen if you looked closely. That little sucker was dancing on the heel of the rim, laughing all the time, and wearing purple clothing.
