Winner takes on the 5 seed which at this point would be either Iowa or Purdue.

Current projections: 77% chance it's Iowa, 23% chance Purdue. For the double-bye team in our "pod", 50% Purdue, 27% Maryland, 23% Iowa.

Nope. If Wisconsin wins, they clinch the double bye and they're the 3 seed. If they lose, they're the 6 seed. Purdue can still get the 4 seed if they win and Maryland loses to Indiana. Purdue can get the 5 seed if they win and Maryland wins. Otherwise they're the 6 seed.

Thanks. I think the next best scenario is Iowa then Purdue. We match up well with Purdue. Iowa is a tough matchup but it's better than Maryland IMO.

I just wanna beat Minnesota and get to the next day. That Michigan lost last year left a real sour taste in my mouth.

The gophers have only 5 scholarship players available and just lost by 20+ to one of worst big ten teams in modern B10 history.

At this point I just want us to play however many games it takes for JCL to get the 3 pt record. Winning the tournament would obviously be nice, but I'm also not delusionable. 2 more games would give him a reasonable shot, so beat minny and get that 2nd game.

Is Minny down so many players because the suspensions from a week ago will stick through the BTT or have there been injuries as well? Mason out? Murphy out?

Carlos Morris was booted about a month ago. Then the 3 guys were suspended before our game (including Mason). That suspension turned into a year ending one. And in their last game Joey King broke his foot.

And with today's results, the seedings are official. Winner of this game will face #5 Iowa in the 2nd game Thursday afternoon with the winner of that game then facing #4 Purdue on Friday.

Oh didn't hear King broke his foot. Big loss for them. Too bad for him too, I'm pretty sure he's a senior. Tough way to go out.

As far as the reason for them being suspended...this may shed a little bit of light for you on it: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-bas...dorsey-nate-mason-dupree-mcbrayer-rest-season

Wow. So Minnesota has found a way to be 20 points worse than an already historically bad Rutgers team.

Illinois could win it's 6th game against a B1G opponent this year with 5 of those wins coming against historically bad teams in Minnesota and Rutgers. Likely to finish 1-14 against their other B1G competition? No one should cry about the B1G schedule the Illini were dealt this year. Replacing home games against Minnesota and Rutgers with home games against MSU and Maryland would've been really ugly.

Quite possibly the easiest schedule we may ever see. Makes the season that much more disappointing. I'm ready to move on. There are a lot of things to be excited about right now and this is not one of them.

Do they keep track of the average number of times a team passes the ball before they take their first shot in a possession?

It often seems we do not move the ball around as much as we might.

Of course Coach Weber's teams did, and that did not insure a good shot. :)

Rutgers and Minny were really bad and we got them each twice. This allowed us to finish 12th rather than 13th.:thumb:
