Did he think he was gonna play?

Was he expecting a scholarship that didn't materialize?

Or maybe he just decided being a 3rd string emergency QB wasn't worth the additional time and effort he was going to have to invest. How many grad-transfer, 3rd string, non-scholarship quarterbacks do you think are out there? I'd venture you could count them on one hand in the D1 ranks. Wouldn't surprise me if he were the only one.

He was actually taking 5th string reps.

Not on the roster on fightingillini.com when I checked a moment ago. I'm pretty sure he was there last week.

The drama of a bad football program...DiNovo and Littlejohn...who's next? This revolving door isn't going to help recruiting. Illinois is in more trouble than anyone could've guessed looking from the outside.

C'mon man, a little over-dramatic don't you think?

I'm sure there are two sides to the Littlejohn story, and as far as Dinovo is concerned, the guy started one game at UCF as a Quarterback. So he transferred here and it didn't work out? Barely a blip on the radar.

Let's win some football games.

A walk on graduate transfer back up quarterback quitting is going to hurt recruiting?

I'd be willing to bet 99.99999% of the recruits have never heard of this guy.

Regarding Littlejohn, we will probably never know the who,e story. I admit it doesn't look good, but if you can find one program who has never rescinded an offer, well that would probably be the first one ever.

Probably not. Of course, given our Oline losing two QB's isn't out of the question. Even so, we might trot out others at the position before we burn his RS.

There are 7 QBs on the roster per fightingillini.com. That doesn't mean that more than 0 of them should see B1G play, but there are 7 on the roster.

We already know the whole story. MJ Rivers committed and Littlejohn isn't having a good Sr. year. That's it.

Better to pull the scholarship now than have the guy come to IL, never play, and then transfer down a level or two.
