Pretty good football game against two pretty evenly matched teams. To me this game really came down to 6 plays in the second half. For them: 1. On their TD drive to take the lead, we had them third and long deep in their territory, and they hit a deep contested pass. 2. Same drive, 4th and 5 they bring in a cold 18 year old frosh who makes a great throw under pressure for the first down. 3. Mid 4th quarter their punter pins us on the 1. We were between a rock and a hard place and couldn’t move the ball out. For us, 3 big penalties on our first 3 series. Our offense isn’t good enough to play behind the sticks. Credit to them. They made big plays when it counted. BP with his best game in I don’t know how long. He had some great throws. If we can build on that and have a “keep them honest” passing attack we may have something. Disappointing because a bowl is now most likely off the table but I do think we showed some flashes today against a pretty solid opponent. Keep chopping wood. Keep building.
