Simeon grad slain in LA

Saieed Ivey former Simeon BB player was shot and killed in L.A. He was best friends with Tate and Nunn and visited Champaign many times. Just tragic.

I've followed siaeed on Twitter for quite some time, I used to think he was an Illini recruit. That kid was just different man, such a bright kid that was going places. He moved to LA to get away from the violence in Chicago only to be gunned down. Not sure why but his death has really affected me. I guess it's because he had so much promise and now he's gone. Just check Twitter and see the love the kid is getting. Almost the whole city knew this kid and everyone says the same thing about him.
