From BB on Saturday Sports Talk: 2 weeks left of winter workouts and then spring ball will start. They are looking for a chance to televise the spring game. No decisions yet on allowing fans to attend the game. (Not his call). There was no detail on what exactly they were doing, but they are putting guys in one on one competitions with rewards and consequences for the winners and losers. Sounds like he intends to push the guys pretty hard.

This coaching staff just keeps doing one right thing after another. All is just preliminary of course to the most important things - getting commits from talented recruits, then signing them and then coaching them to play well. So all the impressiveness thus far translates only to guarded optimism. But I'll stay satisfied with that for now.

"The Illinois football team's annual Orange and Blue Spring Game will kick off at 7 p.m. CT on Monday, April 19. The game will air live on Big Ten Network."

I LOVE THIS!

Does anyone know how I can get just Big Ten Network without having to sign up for sports package? No offense but I really don't want PAC12 Network or some of the others. Just interested in Big Ten Network but there doesn't seem to be a provider that offers it as stand alone.

Very cool idea, especially for this year where you can't have fans in the stands. Monday night is fun for the players and great for tv viewing.

It’s hard to watch BB without coming away convinced that he both completely understands his role as the CEO of the program and is going to work very hard to push his organization to achieve its goals. Very impressive.

Couldn't say it better myself. Also, it's so refreshing, and kind of different, with how open and informative he is. Legitimately learn something at each of his press availabilities.

I have no doubt this man is here to build something and that’s what he will do. He seems to have clear plan of what he wants to accomplish and how he will do it. I’m a big fan and can’t wait to see smart, high level football being played at Memorial Stadium. We’ve had some nice moments, but they’ve been the exception rather than the rule. I believe that’s going to change under Coach Bielema.

That was an awesome interview. All of them have been. I really hope this translates into success (obviously).

Quick question: what was the rule he mentioned about filling out a bracket? Why isn't he allowed to? I'm guessing it's a money thing?
