St. Louis Blues 22-23

Not resigning perron has hurt the Blues worse than Armstrong even thought it would be.........Leddy is ok on D and skates so smoothly but the Blues lack that down low corners and board work that Perron did so well.....

I can't remember a Blues team in all my years being a fan (since 1967, their first year ) giving up so many back door goals.....
Thomas was late defending his man and it ended up in the net........Binner is not having a great season , but a lot of the goals are not his fault........The Blues have given up on being that physical team and are backpedaling too much at our blue line resulting in more puck control by the opponents resulting oin more goals against us......

it might be getting close to a readjustment of the roster with ROR and Tarasenko moving on......But . the salary cap issues means we have to take back similar contracts instead of going all in on draft pick accumulation..........

I think the Blues sneak into the playoffs but get bounced in the first round...........
Not bringing back Maroon and Perron hurt. I get Perron because it was a crunch with the numbers but that was a blow to fans. Maroon would have re-signed with us but no offer and went to Tampa Bay for $900k. Those guys had heart and wouldn't be afraid to get in front of the net and take/deliver some hits. The one thing I don't get is Tarasenko doesn't want to be here and we could have traded him off last offseason and re-signed Perron.

The thing I love about St Louis teams is the fanbase has passion. Teams here don't tank(unless the owner is Kroenke). I would love to see them get something for Tarasenko and/or O'Reilly without them walking away for nothing. We will get money off the books but there is some value in these guys for contenders.

Lost 5th game in a row tonight

All Star game is Feb 4th and Blues are off until Feb 11th

Writing is on the wall and rumors will be heating up even more now to trade away some pieces...

And with what Canucks got for Horvat, you'd think the Blues would be able to get more for ROR or Tarasenko.
Horvat is in his prime, younger and having real good season. Having him traded this early might bring more value for one of our guys. I would love if we got anything close to what the Islanders gave up. The good thing is there will be teams calling and we will be dealing.

Picks/prospects are a necessity. Blues would be crazy not to cover half or decent amount of salary on either of those guys for this season to get more capital in return.

Bunch of teams are asking about Barbashev. I hope the Blues can work out an extension but FA after this season so will see what happens.
