Falcons went through Seal training. For Falcons fans, I hope that works out better than it did for the Illini.

No idea what Falcons were thinking. Inside the 30 with 4 minutes left and passing. Run the ball and kick a field goal and you win. Instead they take a sack which put them at a long FG and then a holding penalty to completely take them out of field goal range.

Kudos to Brady though. That was an awesome display on his part.

Really hate NFL overtime rules though. Really think Falcons should've had a chance to match.

As an MA resident, my kids are avid Pats fans. This was a great game. My party of 10 year olds went from anger and disappointment to insanity in no time. Really a lot of fun. It's nice that my kids have one team. As an Illinois, Bears, White Sox fan myself it is tough going.

That 3rd and 1 with about 8:00 to play at the Falcons 30... Why are you passing at all, let alone doing a 7-step drop? Strip sack, and the comeback is officially on.

You cannot give Belicek and Brady an opening like that. They will make you bleed every time.

And then Julio Jones made - for about 15 minutes - the greatest catch I'd ever seen in a football game. And he bailed the Falcons out and they were right back in a position to end the game... and they did it again?!?!? Was it hubris? (And how do you throw the ball to Jones only four times all game? He caught all four, two of them perfectly covered such that Jones may have been the only guy in the NFL who could have caught them.)

And then Edelman, who looked out of sync with Brady all game, made the new best catch I've ever seen in a football game, and then everyone in the stadium knew what was going to happen next.

It's the difference between a veteran coach/team and a youthful one. The Falcons play calling in the 2nd half was way too aggressive for the lead they had.

The really painful part is that I have clients in the Boston/Providence area who are going to be smug sonofaguns for the next year.

But no doubt about it, Brady is absolutely the best of all time, as much as it pains me to say it.

At least we can still reminisce about the Illini beating him at the Big House in 1999. It's still the best game I've ever attended in person.

This would be true even if the Pats were completely humiliated last night.
