Great hire considering the age and experience of the rest of the defensive staff.

I always wondered how important having a dedicated special teams coach was, seems like it would be very easy to create a division of ST groups for coaches to head.

I'd like to believe BB ups all staffers recruiting game, but agree with everyone that getting a guy who's obviously a recruiting hire would be ideal. I think we have three positions left, WR, DB, and a wild card. No reason to think BB can't find plus recruiters for those roles.

Seems like a good hire. Plenty of experience in the P5 world. I agree a better hire than Lovie did with his son. I never understood why Lovie started fading away. BB is putting together a good staff for his first go-around at UI.

One of the first names mentioned on here for OC, Dan Enos, was just hired by Maryland as their OC. It will be interesting to see how that goes, especially since Locksley will have a tough time completely letting go of the offense.

Couldn't resist jumping in here

To hire Enos, Maryland fired Scottie Montgomery, who is connected to Tony Petersen via ECU and would be a home run for our open WR coach position!
