Add me to the list that welcomes Trent Frazier with open arms. But.........this will be a challenging year for Underwood and staff. They will have to fit the pieces together. A team of the same level as 20-21 is possible....maybe a bit better at consistency. Getting the new guys up to speed defensively will be a hill to climb and I think...and like every Illini fan....I hope they can get to the top. I loved the defense we saw in the last 8 games or so. And the offense saw few droughts with Curbelo providing aggressiveness and looking for the open man. This team will be deep. We will see a lot of playing time going 10-12 deep early in the year resulting in spectacular moments for the new guys as well as embarrassing times on occasion. But filling the SFC to the rafters will get every fan excited and a big boost for the budget. I challenge anyone to guess the starting lineup for the B1G tournament. Injuries will occur, maybe some academic suspensions.....but hopefully no disciplinary problems. These guys should have one goal as a team....to do whatever they can or are asked to do to get to the FF. If Kofi comes back, they should all expect it. Listen, get better, support each other, and believe in yourselves and your coaches. BU has created a solid roster of talented players and solid culture. Wherever you turn...whatever you do...someone will have your back and pick you up. Be a part of it....use your time wisely...and enjoy every moment.
