You sir are awarded the coveted five Eeyores for your dispair.

You are correct that we did not win the B1G regular season title after ScUM cinched it last night. We will get at LEAST a double bye for the bTT, we do want to win vs ScUM to insure a 2 (an even possibly a 1 seed), and will not fall to a 4 seed, although a 3 is possible if a complete collapse occurs (prob. < 0.1%) on the Formician scale.

Feel like Kylan takes alot of not great 3 point shots.
I agree- we are better with Kylan but Inthought he would buy into our offensive philosophy we went to without him better than he has- we don’t need him pulling up for threes. Make the defense work, get the ball in Kylan’s hands and be ready for a catch and shoot or dribble drive- he doesn’t need to create for himself as much as he’s trying to do

IMMEDIATELY thought the same thing lol

Go listen to whatever national show you'd like and you will hear about Illinois being a F4 team

Come here and read this message board and you'd think we are a 7 seed

"only on here is Illinois revered and feared" lmfao yea right more like "only on here is Illinois thought of as an also-ran"
Some people in that group along with some others were spouting how Illinois was a potential Final Four contender last year as well. How did that work out?

The criticisms this team gets is well-deserved. The accolades this team gets is well-deserved, too. They are very good with the potential to get to a F4. Pissy me have them cruising to the S16, but if they lose in that round, it's a huge disappointment. And from your post, it reads like you would agree.

Kind of feel like that’s the one weakness in his game right now. 30% from 3 on the year.

His assist to turnover is ELITE (over 2.9).

I know some weren’t impressed with his defense against UCLA — still had 13/6/5 and had FOUR offensive rebounds (Keaton had SIX). Overall he definitely raises our floor defensively.

I think one of the biggest reasons we lost against UCLA was when kylan went out to get stitches. when he had the ball in his hand he made things happen or got fouled.

Not really… we let them back in before the half. Not sure why a a TO does not get called when the lead begins to get cut??? Scratching my head on not using a TO? I felt for the most part we let down defensively … not so much on Bam missing some minutes.

I think we can agree that it was lost in several spots. my point is with Boswell in we have another option that is willing to drive the ball to the hoop after a swing pass vs passing for a 3pt shot. I felt like we settled for 3s when he was out and didn't hit

I would like Kylan fighting thru picks and not switch. If he is guarding the other teams "best" guard, I want him locked in.

Yet this results in the trailing the ballhandler and rear-view contests which everyone also hates.

There is like this weird, unfeasible expectation that we can keep all guards above the 3 point line at all times regardless of screens being set...

I mean, obviously our ball screen navigation needs to improve, though you are correct if it is a good screen the ballhandler will always have an immediate advantage. What I see a lot is:

1. Our guards get stuck on the screener and then we're forced to switch
2. Our bigs fail to drop effectively to stop the ball
3. Miscommunications (both follow the ballhandler or roller)
4. Sometimes over-aggressive or poorly positioned which allows ballhandler to reject the screen and get a line drive

I have seen #3 less and less over the course of the season, though
