If anybody needs it reinforced that it is your TV spot (channel AND time) that determines your ratings rather than strictly how many fans you have... 2.68 million viewers for Northwestern at Rutgers (11:00 am on CBS - Sunday) 2.46 million viewers for Virginia vs. Tennessee in Nashville (11:00 am on ABC) 1.56 million viewers for Tennessee State at Notre Dame (2:30 pm on NBC) And that's even a bad rating for CBS ... Ohio State/Indiana drew 4.65 million, and Oregon State/San Jose State (two teams with small fan bases) drew 3.23 million!! Granted, NU/RU was the only game on Sunday, but ... yeah, we want to get ourselves on CBS! Highest BTN rating was 343k, and highest FS1 rating was 1.06 million. Highest ESPNU rating (a channel that TANKED our average last year when we had to play Virginia there) was literally 88k... Also ... the Deion hype is real!! Colorado/TCU got over DOUBLE the rating that West Virginia/Penn State got in prime time (7.26 million vs. 3.50 million).
