And IU went undefeated. Add in the absolute beatdown they gave us, and our wins against them are "mediocre" 😄

Not gonna guess the order, but it will be the following teams (listed in order of their playoff rank coming into this week):
Ohio State
Indiana
Georgia
Texas Tech
Oregon
Ole Miss
Texas A&M
Oklahoma
Two of Alabama, Notre Dame, and Miami (my hunch is Alabama gets left out)
Tulane
James Madison

Teams that are absolutely in: IND, OSU, ORE, UGA, TAMU, OKLA, MISS, TTU

G5 Teams that are absolutely in: JMU, TULANE

It's a selection between these three, two of them must go: ND, MIAMI, BAMA.

And that is the politics that will be taking place overnight. SEC has 4 locks already, so the committee may opt to keep in ND and save face to keep the ACC involved.

If Bama ultimately drops out, it is because Duke won the ACC. If Virginia would have won, I think Bama is in over Miami.

My thoughts exactly. Besides, how do you justify having Notre Dame in over a team, Miami, that literally beat them?

As weird as it sounds, Alabama is the odd one out here. The question is does the CFP committee see at the same way we do?

If I had to rank the three based purely off eye test (not resumes): Miami, ND, Alabama in that order.

Not to mention Bama recent form is garbage. Lost to OU at home somewhat handily. Barely escaped 5 win auburn. Then got rolled in a near must win spot today. Meanwhile ND hasn’t lost since early September and Miami lost to 2 8-4 teams. No bad losses. Bama has an awful loss in week 1 at fsu. That might be the killer for them.

As for the CFP field:

What I think the committee will do:
1. Indiana
2. Georgia
3. Texas Tech
4. Ohio State
5. Oregon
6. Texas A&M
7. Ole Miss
8. Oklahoma
9. Miami
10. Notre Dame
11. Tulane
12. James Madison

How I'd do it:
1. Indiana
2. Ohio State
3. Texas Tech
4. Georgia
5. Oregon
6. Texas A&M
7. Ole Miss
8. Notre Dame
9. Miami
10. Oklahoma
11. Tulane
12. James Madison

Wish I could just stop caring about college football until the playoff is set.

There isn't a format out there above criticism and no one has any say in what the committee does. I just hope the games are as competitive as they can be. Unless we're in the playoffs then we should win every game by 30 please.

If they wouldn't have lost to Wisconsin, I think they'd be in even with the Washington loss. A lot of what if, but let's make it a no doubter next year.
