Kentucky at Georgia could be interesting, though I think Georgia will crush them.

I think Rutgers will win handily at Northwestern.

Interesting decision by the Big Ten to give their top 4 marketable teams, plus Maryland, a bye on the same week.

Top games today include Oklahoma State-Texas, Kentucky-Georgia, and Arizona State-Utah.

Among the state schools, there's EIU hosting UT Martin, South Dakota State at WIU, ISU hosting North Dakota State for homecoming in Normal, North Dakota at SIU, and Bowling Green at NIU.

Regarding that Arizona State-Utah game, if the Sun Devils win, they'll basically control their own destiny in Pac 12 South as they would have wins over 1 conference loss Utah and UCLA and every other team in the division has at least 2 conference losses.

Iowa down 14-7 at home against a Purdue team we should have beat on the road. #2 in the nation they're not!
A friend and I were just debating, is it a worse loss for Iowa to lose to a mediocre Purdue at home as the No. 2 team in the country, or our loss to Loyola in the second round of the NCAA Tournament as a 1 seed? I wasn't sure which way to go. The finality of the NCAA loss probably outweighs the regular season football loss for me, though I'd imagine this has to go down as an all-time painful loss for the Hawks.

A loss for Hawkeyes has same effect as our loss. Knocks them out of playoff contention.

PSU had a 20-3 lead IIRC when Clifford went out with an injury. That game had all the hallmarks of a 37-17 PSU road win with him healthy.

Iowa is a good team, but they are not in OSU/PSU territory and are not a top 5 team by any measure.

Another case in point. It’s not all about talent. Good preparation, motivation, playing hard and smart on every down matters in college athletics. Now let’s do the same to Penn State next week!

First time since 1974 that Purdue has beaten that highly ranked of a team on the road. Back then they beat then #2 Notre Dame in South Bend. Last win over a top 2 team was back in 2018 when they beat Ohio State in West Lafayette.

ESPN said that Purdue has nine wins as an unranked team against the #2 ranked team in the country, which is a record I never knew anyone tracked.
