I agree it is good getting out of Iowa as a general statement.He already got to be on winning teams in his 4 years at Iowa, but now he actually gets to show his skills in an offense that allows him some freedom, improving his chances of getting to play at the next level (even if still unlikely). Plus, it's Iowa. Getting out of Iowa is always good.
But the stats Friday were very deceptive. He threw 3 interceptions in the game and most of the yards were piled on in garbage time in the second half. Petras puts up "big" numbers right now because most of it is in garbage time across all games. In his last three games, his team lost by an average of over 20 points. That means a lot of throwing the ball against second string defenses late in game.
I guess as long as he is having fun, good for him.
