Wow, so many top 25 matches this week!
Normally I always root for the underdogs but this week I think we want all the favorites to win so that we can move up in the rankings.

#8 TCU over #17 Kansas State
#5 Clemson over #14 Syracuse
#9 Oklahoma State over #20 Texas
- An Oklahoma State loss would be back to back losses so maybe we jump them
- But would a Texas win allow them to jump us
#6 Alabama over #24 Mississippi State
- most likely gets #26 Purdue ranked (if they win) to build more interest in our matchup if we both keep winning. Our best shot, even if it is a long one, at hosting ESPN CGD or FOX Big Noon Kickoff

Others
#16 Penn St vs Minnesota
- a Penn St loss would help us crack the top #15 but keeps Minnesota stay in the hunt for the West

I hope Iowa does well against tOSU, just for ge sake of the West, and to give us more hope when we go against tOSI in Indy.

Gotta LOL at Tennessee playing Tennessee Martin right after beating Alabama. College Football in a nutshell.

Alabama plays Austin Peay on Nov. 19th, a week before the Iron Bowl w/ Auburn.

I'm thinking bigger picture. If Leicester can win the Premier League, Illinois can make the CFP! So I'm rooting for ultimate chaos. Everyone picking up losses....

KSU beats TCU (KSU will slip up later)
Syracuse beats Clemson (Syracuse will slip up later)
Miss St beats Bama
Texas beats OSU
UCLA beats Oregon (UCLA will slip up later)

That Minnesota Penn St game is interesting. A Minnesota win would be good for 2 reasons.

1) Would obviously make our dominating performance over them look even better.

2) Would take the shine out of Michigan's victory over PSU. By the time we get to that matchup in Ann Arbor, Michigan might not have played anyone better than us yet. I personally think PSU is overrated, and am hoping Minnesota proves that true. Hopefully Morgan is healthy and starting.

Really a battle between two of the biggest snake oil salesmen in college football

It also would give us an edge in bowl selection. Penn state ahead of us right now.

what’s the logic behind to scheduling those type of non cons that late in the season ?

The thinking is that it's a bit of a softer matchup before their rivalry weekend matchups on Thanksgiving weekend.

For the FCS schools, it's their final regular season game before the playoffs begin (assuming said school is going to be in the playoffs of course).
