I don't think anyone will catch Purdue, so I'd prefer that any team between the Illini and a top 4 finish lose.
Michigan has plenty of opportunities to lose the rest of the season. I want them to win so that Purdue doesn't just run away with this.

If you're ever brave (or dumb!) enough to check out a Nebraska board, they all nearly universally refer to the Huskers as "NU" in a sports context. The only part of this I somewhat support is they abbreviate Northwestern as "NW," which I have heard before kind of drives Northwestern fans crazy. Lol.

I am also VERY much hoping Michigan misses the Tournament. They ride their football cache WAY too much as far as a "cool factor" goes, IMO, and it's time they get reduced to the Amaker days when we were their clear superior.
Hah, having to live here and deal with the delusional, broken fanbase in person, I refuse to inflict their message board content on myself. I totally refer to Northwestern as NW too though...it must be osmotic

I understand that a formula ranking like the NET should simply produce the end results of its algorithm or whatever and not conform to "subjective bias" ... but how the hell is Ohio State still #28 at 11-9?! I mean, I'll take the Quad 1 win for sure!

This is a very difficult decision for me. The only school that I actively root against more than Michigan is ND. But, in a perverse way I need to still root for a result that technically helps the Illini. 2 games back in the loss column is better than 3. Still a lot of BB to be played. Maybe we can (or almost) win out. A victory by MI tonight does not mean they will make the tournament yet. Usually I let the natural juices flow as the game progresses. We'll see how I handle the 2nd half.

This is a win-win or should I say lose-lose game. One of those teams is going to lose, and I am OK with whichever it is. Hate MI - seeing them lose and Dickweed pout is always rewarding. But if MI wins that puts us within 1 game of controlling our fate with Purdue for the conference championship (we would be one game behind assuming we beat them in our last game). Not sure Michigan State matches up too well with Purdue (not many teams do), but Purdue has to deal with them after MI, so there is a chance the top of the league could be a lot closer in a week or so. I would be OK with MI winning for that chance.

Not really. They still have to play at Indiana and they have to play us. I think Purdue still wins the conference but it will be a lot more fun if they win the conference by a game or two vs five.
Maybe I'm crazy, but I think Michigan has a shot against Purdue tonight if Jett Howard plays. Purdue has been in too many close games this year.

Purdue has continued to prove me wrong over their first 20, but I really think they come back to Earth the last third of the reg season. I don’t think they run away with the B1G like everyone is assuming.
