Epic bed wetting. I shouldn't be stunned based on history, but I still am. I get the angst over the Newton call. I really do, and it messed up the game. But it was the right call. Even Newton knew it. I hate that there aren't "degrees" to that penalty, because it wasn't egregious or malicious. But if the roles were reversed we'd be incensed if we didn't get that call. Because that's what the rule is. That said, we did a million other things wrong. Even before we lost Newton we were bringing pressure and never getting our hands on their QB (he's a freshman, did you know? Lol) he had way too much time. And our offense is just a train wreck. Lunney is lucky Luke bailed him out so many times today with his legs. The line can't pass block at all. And we run almost zero quick hitters. I actually think Luke is a pretty good QB, he just needs a lot more help. Not being able to get off a Hail Mary pass was a microcosm for the entire game/season.
