Wow our starting guards had 63 of our 78 points. Gotta get some points in the paint and rebounds! We would be a tough out if NE can step it up by years end along with MH!

Well, the last-second shot wasn't in the Sportcenter top 10 as of yet, but as a special bonus Meyers was in the top 10 for the second time so far this season.

Wow, what a finish! It tells you something when a team seems to win all the close games. Groce's teams did that at Ohio and we just got one here, in a TRUE road game. The last coach had a propensity of finding a way to lose. I think we have the opposite here, and I can't wait for this season and the next few to unfold. Hopefully something special happens and we can finally raise a banner. In Groce We Trust. Go Illini.

Henry only with 7 minutes? Groce has his reasons. Joe B only takes 3 shots going 1-3, 21 minutes. I didnt see the game so im not sure what happened, just based on that seems like he just needs to be more aggressive and try to get some good looks at the basket.

I would've been so mad if I huddled around a computer for 2 and a half hours for us to give it away at the end...awesome game and our best win in a long time

Look at all the support at 3 am...prob zero on a ND message board after their loss. I know we missed out on D. Jax, so we'll have to wait another year to get a Top 25 talent. However it may be a blessing in disguise. Tate as a second Simeon player who was borderline high major may have really put is "in" with Coach Smith and Simeon.
Also, gotta give credit to the players for fighting back and battling adversity. It may just be a win vs a Big West opponent, but it's also the type of game that can give a season some momentum. |

I did not think i was going to make it to my truck alive! Great win! The officiating was horrible, both ways albeit, and our rebounding was terrible! TA looked legit and BP was huge! DJ had a big second half and played within the offense and looked fluid all game, even though he was cold as ice (foreigner reference) in the first half. Myke Henry, Bertrand and Griffey were non existent. Sam had a good second half! We should have won by 10+ if we would have rebounded better in the first half! Groce made the adjustments and it was a completely different second half. Great defensive intensity by the guards all game! Henry didnt see the floor in the second half because he failed tp hedge out off a cpl picks which led to some layups by Hawaii. He just looked like he was going through the motions!!! This team plays with a lot of heart though, fun to watch! Completelu different team than what weve seen the past few years! I L L

I have the worst combination of the stories above - I fought the buffering monster until halftime, late and Illini down huge, and my 3 year-old woke up at 6:30 crying about his cousins leaving (and they don't even arrive until Fri)
