Sky point.
I don't think I was really ever worried Scheelhaase would not be playing Saturday night. |

I just hope this doesn't mean he's running as well as Loren Tate...

This game is not important enough to risk NS re-injuring his ankle, making it a season long hindrance, IMO. |

Yeah, Nate can play this week and then sit out Charleston Southern if need be.

I think we all owe the big Man above a quick word...
...and maybe a quick thanks to our outstanding trainers! |

players want to play, even if not 100%, which they seldom ever are once the season starts. Every one has heard the story of Wally Pipp not feeling good and letting a young Lou Gehrig play for him, and Lou kept playing for 12 years or so

While its great to know that Nate should be available, I still think the heat and time zone changes give ASU 2 distinct advantages. I hope TB and staff know how to deal with us, otherwise it could be a late, frustrating evening.

No doubt, this is good news -- would love to see Nate out there on Saturday.
That said, it is in no way worth risking his long-term health over a non-conference game. Goal has to be to have Nate 100% against PSU on 9/29. If he re-injures it Sat night, everybody's going to be pointing the finger at Beckman. Zook didn't have the stones to pull injured guys' jerseys out of their lockers in his tenure. Good coaches make the tough call. It was stupid to play Nate hurt against Western Michigan last year. I think back to 2009 when Regis turned his ankle against Mizzou and for some inexplicable reason was back on the field against Illinois State the next week. Guy never got healthy, he lost millions by slipping in the draft and the season was a debacle. |

This x10000. ASU is a bigger game than Charleston Southern... I'd rather have Nate out there for this game and rest him for CS, where I'd feel better about our chances with O'Toole or Osei taking the reigns for a game.

while I don't think ASU is as good as last year, we will still need all hands on deck especailly being a road night game, and since we beat them last year there will be some payback wanted I'm sure.
